A Word from your President

We are very excited to kick off our NAWBO-SA summer with inspiring monthly programs at a new location and time. NAWBO-SA will have meetings every month except December. The meetings will be the 4th Thursday of every month, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Old San Francisco Steakhouse.

We hope to see you on August 26 at lunch time to hear from Lindy Segall, co-founder of Professionally Speaking. After you hear his presentation, Prepare to be Quoted, you will know how to be remembered, repeated and rewarded for what you say.

The Board meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of every month, from 8am to 9am at Slay Architecture offices. Anyone is welcome to come and sit in and find out what your Board is doing for you.

Exciting new things will be happening this year! For example, Virginia Lopez Rodriguez is kicking off a new Business Book Club for NAWBO members starting July 12, the Womens Book Club. This is a great addition to our activities available to members. Also, the Business Networking Breakfast will continue for a lively way to discover who needs you! For me, the most exciting thing is including the AIOHO scholarship winners into the awards ceremony this year.

I want to thank Allison De Paoli, Immediate Past President, for her inspiring leadership last year, and for all of the time and assistance she has given me in this transition. Thanks so much to all of you who have volunteered to serve on committees - we couldn't do it without you - and we need more volunteers!
