A Message from the President
To say that we have been enduring interesting economic times would be an understatement for any women business owner. As we move into the next year I am pleased to say that we have focused on planning which will render results. If you are a woman business owner in Greater San Antonio, you want to be a part of this!
While some things are still uncertain, we know 2 things:
1. the economy is recovering
2. small business is the emerging leader in the economy
When I opened up Slay Architecture 10 years ago, I was 30 years old and felt very confident that I knew it all. I found out very quickly that I did not, and although I had guidance from my entrepreneurial husband, Mike, I joined NAWBO and added another dimension to my education.

July Meeting Preview
Our monthly lunch meetings will now be held on the fourth Thursday of the month at Old San Francisco Steakhouse (10223 Sahara). So come join us on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Old San Francisco Steak House. There will be a New Member/Website Orientation prior to the membership meeting at 10:45 a.m. that will last 15-20 minutes. Watch for upcoming e-mails regarding the topic and speaker.

Business Books for Business Growth
Join up for the newest NAWBO-SA program, Business Books for Business Growth. We will read and review business books which enlighten, recharge our batteries, and inspire us into new ideas.
We meet twice monthly but there is a convenient online component for virtual participants. Members only and this is a FREE event, another benefit of your membership!

San Antonio Woman magazine has Women in Business Online Directory. The Directory listing, which is $295 for the year, provides year-round exposure online at SAWomanConnect.com, listing women in business and resources for women.
