February 2010
A Message from the President
Did you know that there are 53,000 women business owners in San Antonio?
It is our mission to provide resources and recognition to those women already in business and to help create the next generation of women business owners. So, what are we doing about it?
Our An Income of Her Own® conference is on Feb. 16 at Our Lady of the Lake University. We have a fantastic group of members that will help us facilitate the day. To help you prepare, we are having a Facilitator Fete on Feb. 4 at the Girl Scouts headquarters. We have changed the program this year, and it will be a lot of fun! If you would like to participate, please contact Kathy MacNaughton at kmac@satx.rr.com.
The Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards are on March 10 at the Omni. We just selected our winners and what an outstanding group they are! We have created the ESA Sponsorship, an event sponsorship category this year. This allows you to purchase a table AND have your company name and logo in all print and electronic media, including the four-page, full-color insert in the San Antonio Business Journal and the two ads. This is a terrific way to promote your company at a small cost. The deadline for inclusion in the insert is Feb. 9.
Our Connection events resume this month. We are finalizing a location for the lunch connection on Feb. 10 and will let you know as soon as we do. Our monthly meeting details are below. We have some great speakers lined up, and I look forward to seeing you all there.
On a national level, there are many new exciting things coming as well. Be on the lookout for new educational opportunities as well as additional ways to promote your business.
I always enjoy connecting with you. Feel free to contact me at president@nawbosa.org.
